Jan has been an integral part of the Rice Financial Consulting team since 2007. She is a dedicated Financial Adviser, who builds strong and long-lasting relationships with her clients. Prior to joining RFC, Jan had more than two decades of bookkeeping, accounting, budgeting and finance experience, including running her own firm. Jan is a Master Elite Adviser with Ed Slott’s IRA Advisor Group.

Away from the office, Jan is active in her Church, including having served on several Boards. She has served on several Mission trips, helping with cleanups after natural disasters. Jan is an avid runner, often competing in half-marathons, and loves to spend time with her family, especially with her new granddaughter.

Steve has more than 35 years of experience in helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve financial success. He founded Rice Financial Consulting to expand the scope of services he could provide while providing the personal attention every client deserves. Steve has earned accreditation as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®). In his industry, Steve has been a leader, serving as President of numerous professional associations, speaking at more than 200 industry meetings, and serving as a Mentor to young Advisers.

Steve has also been active in his community, having served on the Town of Los Gatos Planning Commission, the Los Gatos Town Council, and as Mayor of Los Gatos. He has also served as President of the Rotary Club of Los Gatos and is currently the Treasurer of the Los Gatos – Monte Sereno Police Foundation. In his free time, Steve loves to travel, play golf, and spend time with his family.
